Research & Development Center SENTRONIS a.d. develops and manufactures advanced instruments
for measuring magnetic fields and electric currents and provides related development and
engineering services.

History and general description
SENTRONIS a.d. was founded in 2003 as a spin-off of the Swiss start-up company SENTRON AG. The
mission of SENTRONIS was to support SENTRON in the development and manufacturing of magnetic
field sensors and magnetic measuring instruments invented by Dr. R.S. Popovic, a professor at Swiss
Federal Institute of Technology at Lausanne, Switzerland (EPFL). As in 2004 SENTRON was acquired
by an international company, its magnetic measurement business was taken over by another Swiss
start-up company, SENIS AG. Since then, SENIS and SENTRONIS have been working
together in a symbiotic partnership.
SENTRONIS has an office and laboratory in the building of Faculty of Electronics of University of Nis,
and a production facility in a neighboring building.
SENTRONIS is privately owned company, profitable and completely financially independent.

Research and Development
In 2010 SENTRONIS was registered as a Research & Development Center, which enabled the
company to lead R&D projects supported by the Serbian Ministry of Science and Education.
Company focuses its business on contracted engineering and development for private sector.
SENTRONIS has substantially participated in the contracted development projects of the SENIS-branded
products, and in the development of the current sensors of Ametes AG (a Swiss start-up company,
which merged with SENIS in 2011).
